Since that article about the ban of unauthorized memory cards I panicked because i thought that the good times with watching movies are over. At least with the harddrives. So tried my luck with Windows Media Center which is pretty easy to setup, but it does not support .avi .divx etc. being played over the Xbox. On the PC it works fine. You need to convert your .avi files into a supported format like WMV. I am seriously not willing to convert all my movies into WMV. Thats a pain in the Ass. Panic!!! So i am calling a friend to discuss this and he reminds me of a program for the Xbox that can stream any codec to the XBOX It's called <a href="http://tversity.com/" rel="nofollow">Tversity</a>. A really easy to set up piece of software which is even for free. I wasn't the biggest fan of streaming either, but this Media Server Software is makes things pretty convenient. The only con point is that you have to turn on the PC/Media Server while watching. I became a streaming fan.
